"On the cover of "Every now and then" ,the superb first album of Franklin a sinous road appears, passing by a modern building before disappearing in a misty hill landscape.

A nice metaphor picturing Frank Rabeyrolles musical universe

The man hiding hiding behind this new project, after ' albums signed under Double U pseudonym.
With his natural simplicity and his pop melody science,Franklin draws melancolic musical landscapes, taking as much from Nick Drake ethereted Folk than Broadcast dreamy electronica.
Amazing mixture of Tradition and modernity, "Every now and then" is a fascinating piece wrapping us in a cosy and peaceful universe.
More than just an album,it is an unresistible travel invitation" (iTunes team)

Wool is very happy to announce a beautiful reissue /compilation album of Collage an incredible Estonian Band from the 70's for October 2009 .

The group "Collage" was found in 1966, it comprised students from Tallinn conservatory in Estonia grouped around Raivo Dikson. Why "Collage" ? that's precisely the band originality. They didn't want only to be a vocal jazz band or a folk band or a classical band. This approach 44 years later seems really modern. What's modern Pop today...? most of innovative bands today have this hybrid, crossover vision of music. For that reason Collage music is very impressive and instructive. Inspired by folk Estonian tradition and more precisely by the work of Swedish pianist and composer Jan Johansson , they were also full of Michel Legrand, Antonio Carlos Jobim music. Wool recordings already released in 2004 a EP of Collage music.

Today we're happy to present a larger selection of Collage work. We wanted to restitute the band poetry, his inalienable love for nature and freedom. Each song of Collage has his own secret meaning in the context of USSR domination, something between fragility and eternity. It's time to celebrate this radiant and sensitive band called Collage not only for Jazz addicts or Djs but also for fans of Stereolab , Belle and Sebastian .

We invite a Luther Russell a very interesting Us songwriter to do an Ep curated by Sarabeth Tucek in December .More infos very soon

Luther Russell was born into a music-making family whose contributions to songwriting reflect the history of American popular song as we know it. His great uncle Bud Green wrote early 20th century classics such as “Sentimental Journey” and “Once In A While”. His Grandfather Bob Russell wrote standards such as “Don’t Get Around Much Anymore”, "Do Nothin’ ‘Til You Hear From Me” and “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother. Born in 1970, Luther was raised in a Los Angeles that people can only reminisce about: music from Stevie Wonder to E.L.O. blared from transistor radios and the post-hippie culture of the canyons dictated the mood and the feel of the day. At the ripe old age of 19 he formed the Freewheelers, a fiery, soulful combo influenced by Dylan, The Band and New Orleans R & B. They gained a legendary reputation around Holywood clubs and were promptly signed to Geffen for their first record. After extensive touring, the outfit signed to Rick Rubin’s legendary label Def American and released their second and final record. The “grunge” era was a tough time to make music with shades of Americana, so the ‘Wheelers called it quits. Luther relocated to Portland, Oregon where he soon earned a reputation for producing no-nonsense, rootsy rock and roll albums. Acclaimed northwest artists such as Fernando and Richmond Fontaine flocked to him for assistance. After releasing a series of eclectic solo records, all of which were critically well-received, he moved back to his native L.A. and recorded his fourth solo record “Repair”, produced by Ethan Johns (Kings Of Leon, Ray La Montagne).
